Graphite powder is a mineral powder mainly composed of elemental carbon, soft in texture, and black gray in color; It has a greasy feeling and can contaminate the paper. The hardness is 1-2, and it can increase to 3-5 with the increase of impurities in the vertical direction. The specific gravity ranges from 1.9 to 2.3. Under isolated oxygen conditions, its melting point is above 3000 ℃, making it one of the most temperature resistant minerals. At room temperature, the chemical properties of graphite powder are relatively stable, insoluble in water, dilute acid, dilute alkali, and organic solvents; The material has high temperature resistance and conductivity, and can be used as refractory, conductive, and wear-resistant lubricating materials.
Specifications
Applications
1. Graphite and its products as refractory materials have properties of high temperature resistance and high strength
2. Used in the electrical industry to manufacture electrodes, brushes, carbon rods, carbon tubes, etc.
Graphite is often used as a lubricant in the mechanical industry. Lubricating oil often cannot be used under high speed, high temperature, and high pressure conditions. Graphite wear-resistant materials can operate at high sliding speeds at temperatures between 200 and 2000 ℃ without the need for lubricating oil.
4. Graphite has good chemical stability.
Packing and Storage
Packaged in 25kg multi‐wall paper sacks with plastic liners. Store in a dry location away from source of heat or ignition, and minimize dust. Special packages are available based on customers' requirements.
Safety
Avoid contacting with eyes, skin and clothing. Otherwise, wash with a flush of water. Refer to Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for complete handling and hazard data.
