Cenosphere is a type of hollow fly ash ball that can float on the water surface. They are gray white in color, with thin and hollow walls, and are very lightweight. The particle size is about 0.1 millimeters. The surface is closed and smooth, with low thermal conductivity and a fire resistance of ≥ 1610 ℃. They are excellent insulation and refractory materials and are widely used in petroleum drilling.
The chemical composition of cenosphere is mainly composed of silicon dioxide and aluminum trioxide, which have various characteristics such as fine particles, hollow, lightweight, high strength, wear resistance, high temperature resistance, insulation and flame retardancy, and are widely used as raw materials in the refractory industry.

Advantage

1. Cenosphere has good elasticity, anti extrusion, foaming without abrasiveness, and do not wear equipment.
2. Cenosphere has no fluorescence, are insoluble in water, oil, acid, and alkali, are inert in drilling fluids, do not react with other components, are non-toxic, and are pollution-free.

Cenosphere can inject the various water-based drilling fluid systems, effectively reduce the friction. According to the different circumstances, can provide different sizes of the product; general dosage is 1.0-2.0%.

Cenosphere is packaged in 50 pound multi‐wall paper sacks or 750kgs jumbo bags with plastic liners. Store in a dry location away from source of heat or ignition, and minimize dust. Special packages are available based on customers' requirements.
