Barite Powder Oil Drilling Grade-API 13A
Barite is widely used in oilfields, construction and chemical industries. After barite is grinded into a powder, it can add weight to well-drilled mud as a weighting agent for all types of drilling fluids.
Technical Index
Application
Barite is mainly used in industries such as petroleum, chemical, paint, and fillers. 80-90% of them are used as mud weighting agents in oil drilling.
1. Petroleum drilling: The circulating mud weighting agent used in rotary drilling of oil and gas wells cools the drill bit and carries away the cut debris. Lubricating the drill pipe, sealing the hole wall, controlling oil and gas pressure, and preventing oil well self spraying.
2. Chemical production of various barium compounds such as barium carbonate, barium chloride, barium sulfate, barium hydroxide, barium oxide, etc.
3. Glass deoxidizer, clarifying agent, and flux. Increase the optical stability, gloss, and strength of glass.
4. Paint fillers, brighteners, and weighting agents.
5. Building concrete aggregates.
