Potassium carbonate 99% is an inorganic substance with the chemical formula K2CO3 and a molecular weight of 138.206. It is a white crystalline powder with a density of 2.428g/cm3 and a melting point of 891 ℃. Easy to dissolve in water, the aqueous solution is alkaline, and insoluble in ethanol, acetone, and ether. Strong hygroscopicity, can absorb carbon dioxide and water when exposed to air, and transform into potassium bicarbonate. It should be sealed and packaged.
