Benefits

1. Low acidity and alkalinity, with low corrosiveness to the environment and building materials such as concrete;
2. Stable performance, good effect, and long service life;
3. It will not cause harm to the aquatic ecological environment and plants. Biodegradable, low toxicity;
4. It can still effectively melt snow after multiple uses;
5. Can form a protective film to prevent snow from condensing again and prevent road icing;
6. Can be used directly, with salt, with sand, or as a liquid.

Application

Calcium magnesium acetate solid is mainly used as a snow melting agent. Apply early in the storm to prevent snow/ice bonding. The usage method is similar to other snow melting agents. First, remove the loose snow and then use a snow melting agent for treatment. Before use, thoroughly stir the snow melting agent to ensure its even dispersion. Wait at least 20 minutes to remove snow/ice.

Dosage:

Commercial = 15-20 lbs./1000 ft2(75-100 g/m2)
Highway = 300-400 lbs./lane mile (20-40 g/m2)

Environment

Biodegrades to CO2and H2O
Calcium and magnesium increase soil permeability
Essentially non-toxic to aquatic species
Poor mobility in soil - unlikely to reach groundwater
Safe for vegetation
Does not contain nitrogen, sodium, or chlorides

Handling

If kept dry, it can be stored indefinitely. At the same time, it is important to avoid excessive moisture causing clumping. Excessive handling may generate dust.
